Urinary Tract Infections are like the side-effects of being a female!

They are nastier than you think and can happen to anyone (even when you think that you are the queen of hygiene and a Powerpuff girl). We adore your spirit but we want you to be aware of UTI and how to prevent it (because it stands as a mandatory information which every girl should have). Don’t forget to share this article with your ‘Girl Gang’!

So, here are the 7 tips to save yourself from getting UTI or prevent it from recurring too:

1. Wipe from Front to Back

Yeah, the old historical trick which everyone knows about but we are too lazy to observe ourselves, that whether we are wiping it the correct way or not. In clear words, Clean your urethra before wiping your ass! You can read more about female hygiene here!

2. Make sure your toilet seat is insect free and clean

You can do that with

  • Seat sanitizers
  • Reserve one washroom in your home only for females (if you can) and clean it like Monica (GIF)
  • Splash some warm water on the seat before sitting on it.

3. Drink like a fish

You need to drink a lot of water in order to flush those toxic substances and the bacteria out.

  • Drink 1-2 glass of water when you get up in the morning.
  • Drink 1 glass of water 30 minutes before meals
  • Drink water whenever you can!

Glowing skin is an added benefit!

4. Empty Your bladder every 4 hours

Whenever you think that you need to pee, don’t wait for any longer after that. Don’t hold the urine for too long. (There are already enough pressures in the world).

5. Pass urine after Intercourse

This will prevent you from getting any infections from your vagina to the urethra. The urine will clear all the bacteria out there, thus making the environment great down there!

6. Munch on some cranberries or have cranberry juice

Cranberry is very beneficial in treating as well as preventing UTI. If you are a diabetes (home remedies for diabetes patients that work better than insulin) or don’t want to have the cranberry juice for any reason, then you can buy some good dried cranberries too. Use them in your salad, desserts or in your mocktails, even on the home-baked cookies and cakes. They are amazing with all of them.

7. Don’t use public restrooms

unless it’s absolutely necessary and keep a check on the color of your urine. As dark urine means, you need more water! Make it lighter by staying more hydrated than before!

So these were the seven tips which you should follow in order to avoid UTI from occurring or recurring. Don’t forget to share the info with everyone you care for so that the world could be a better place for females as well.

Till then

“Stay hydrated and munch some cranberries, kick the UTI out of your life.”
